About four million dogs are abandoned at animal shelters every year. Owners often grow tired of their dogs, especially when they could no longer provide them the “happiness” because they’re too old to play or do some activities outside.
For Maddison, a 17-year-old dog, she was dumped at a Los Angeles Animal Services facility by her former humans because she was “too old.”
“My former family who owned me for ‘more than 5 years’ gave me up because they thought I had gotten too old. They said I spend most of my time indoors,” the shelter wrote on a post to have Maddison adopted. “I do not show interest in small children. I have begun housetraining, but I still need some work. I am good on a leash. I just learning obedience skills [and] I seem to get along well with dogs and cat.”
Luckily, a Good Samaritan chose Maddison to be her animal companion. Now, Maddison lives a blissful life with her fur-ever home.
