Lasagna, a 30-pound abandoned cat who captured the hearts of many, especially those in Philadelphia, will be going to her fur-ever home this week.

ACCT Philly, the animal and control team who first posted Lasagna’s photo on their page, said they received hundreds of inquiries about the short-haired cat. Since then, Lasagna trended on social media and was even featured in a local news program. Within 24 hours, she has been adopted.

ACCT hopes the people who were interested in her would consider adopting 129 other cats in the shelter or other animals who are in need of a loving home.

“When a lot of people are interested in one animal, you kind of feel bad for the others,” said Sarah Barnett, ACCT’s director of development and communications. “Our hope is everyone who wants Lasagna, or maybe a third of them, will come in and adopt, or know that we’re here when they’re ready.”
