A man decided to take a trip to the beach and have fun with his friends, however, what could have been a memorable experience turned into a tragic incident.

A tourist was caught on a video footage ignoring warning signs not to pet the animals on Assateague Island, which is located off the coast of Maryland in the USA.

There were some wild horses on the beach and he decided to pet one of them, only to receive a kick in his groin. The tourist immediately dropped to the ground as other beach-goers tried to help him.

This is not the first incident of a horse kicking someone at the beach. Last year, a lifeguard at the beach was also injured after being kicked twice by one of the wild horses on the beach.

Locals believe that the wild horses arrived there over 300 years ago after surviving a shipwreck in the Virginia coast.
