A dog went missing from her Olathe home, only to show up later on at her old home in Lawson, Missouri, about 57 miles away.

Four-year-old Labrador, named Cleo, went to her old home looking for her previous owners.

“Where did the dog come from?” asked Colton Michael, the current person living in the house.

Apparently, Cleo’s owners do not reside in the house anymore as it had been nearly two years.

“November 2018, we moved in,” Michael said. They got Cleo checked in at the veterinarian to see if she has a microchip, and she did. “Britney said ‘That’s the people that used to live here.'”

As it turns out, Cleo’s owners had posted on Facebook a week earlier about the missing dog and they could not believe it when Michael called them and said Cleo had walked home.

“It’s the most bizarre story. Really, she’s everything to us and to my mother,” said Drew, Cleo’s owner. The family cannot believe how Cleo made her trip, as she would have to cross the river at some point to do so.

“She finds her way home, and there’s some strangers living in it. That would be scary for anybody,” Michael added. “Now that we know who she belongs to, if she pops up again, we know who to call.”
