The Manila city government is offering free veterinary care services for the pets of its residents amid the enhanced community quarantine.

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso announced on his Facebook page that the Veterinary Inspection Board (VIB) Animal Clinic is open for consultation and vaccinations from 8am to 5pm on Mondays to Fridays. The clinic can accommodate up to 30 patients per day.

Domagoso, who is also a proud dog fur-rent, said the city government decided to offer free services, because pets are also part of the family.

“Bahagi po ng ating pamilya kung ituring natin ang ating mga minamahal na alaga,” Domagoso wrote in his post on Tuesday, Aug. 12.

“Salamat po sa VIB, sa pangunguna ni Dr. Nick Santos for all your efforts and services to the city,” he added.
