Are your spidey senses tingling? Chances are, there’s a spider in your home right now. Now, don’t be scared! Spiders are creatures that have an unnecessarily bad reputation. In the media, they are often portrayed as vicious, venomous creatures who will bite anything in their sight. But in reality, that couldn’t be further from the truth! Spiders only attack when they are provoked. They’re really just trying to protect themselves, and we can’t blame them for that. It’s a tough world for such a small creature. You could run into one on your bedroom wall. You could see one on the ceiling during your daily shower. You might even find one on your car door. You can find them just about anywhere, really. Usually, if you were to spot one in your home, your first instinct might be to capture it and release it outside. But hold that thought! Is that really the best idea? Spiders are actually very beneficial to your household. They might look intimidating, but here are a few reasons why it would be great to let that spider stay in your humble abode!

Disease-carrying insects, such as mosquitoes or flies, can spread pathogens all around your household, but a spider on your side will help to keep that from happening.
3. THEY MIND THEIR OWN BUSINESS
As mentioned earlier, spiders only ever attack when they feel provoked. Like all animals, spiders need respect. They work alone for the most part and they just want to live their lives peacefully, just spinning their webs all day and waiting for prey to walk into their trap.As long as you leave a spider alone to do what they want, they won’t attack you. A spider bite is fairly rare, so unless you bother one, you won’t ever need to know what it feels like to get bit.

They do a lot more for our ecosystem than you might believe. Since they hunt other small creatures roaming around in gardens, they protect various plants from being eaten. In a way, spiders help the environment thrive as natural plant bodyguards.

Let’s not forget that spiders are animals who deserve to live and thrive. Besides, finding one in your home doesn’t have to be a scary experience. Allowing a spider to live with you at home undisturbed is allowing them to adjust to the habitat they’ve chosen. You wouldn’t want to take that away from them, right? At the end of the day, spiders are gentle friends who are just looking for a place to crash. They may not pay the rent, but what they lack in cash, they make up for in action. Be a good host and let them stay!
