The Executive Board of the Federation Internationale Feline (FIFe) released a statement on their official Facebook page saying that Russian-bred Cats are not allowed to participate in any Cat shows sponsored by the group.

Their decision was made in response to the ongoing invasion of Ukraine.

In the Facebook post, which was published on Mar. 1, 2022, FIFe elaborated that outside Russia, Russian-bred Cats will not be imported and registered in their pedigree book. Russian exhibitors cannot participate in FIFe-sponsored shows outside of Russia as well.

The restrictions will take effect from Mar. 3 to May 31, 2022.

Their Facebook post also mentions that they will dedicate a part of their budget to support Ukrainian Cat connoisseurs.
