The Philippine Pomeranian Club, in collaboration with Manila Bulletin and Animal Scene, is set to launch the first annual Manila Dog Show 2023 at The Tent, Manila Hotel on August 12-13, 2023 through exciting pet activities and competition. Following the 2-day competition is a dog grooming seminar at Manila Prince Hotel on August 14, 2023.
The event aims to put the spotlight on our beloved dog companions through the All Breed Championship Dog Show and the Pomeranian Specialty Show. This 2-day dog show will bring dog lovers together under one roof to connect with fellow pet-lovers, showcase their beloved pet dogs, and learn more about “dogmanship” and grooming from experts.
What’s in it for you and your furry friends
Ever have that feeling of appreciation for your dog when they’re “too cute not to be shown off?” This is the chance for the world to see them and appreciate other fur-parents’ babies too. Four shows will be mounted under the All Breed Championship Dog Show in which all dogs of any breed can flaunt their charm.
The Manila Dog Show will have a separate special show set up for Pomeranian dog companions, the Pomeranian Specialty Show. Eight shows will be held under this segment in which everyone can exhibit their pom’s natural sophistication.
This year’s edition of the competition includes an impressive line-up of judges including Irish Kennel Club all breeds judge Sean Carroll, China Kennel Union licensed judge Zhi (Andy) Chen, Shih Tzu breeder Maribel Sy, long-time dog fancier and Pekingese breeder Dr. Raymundo Lo, Thai Pomeranian Club President Chaivat (Toby) Tangkaravakun, Former Boxer breeder and Philippine Canine Club, Inc. Director and Treasurer Alfonso Ilagan, Siberian Husky breeder Sidney Bascon, and Beagle, Corgi, and Miniature Pinscher breeder Aaaron Go.
These shows are being held under the rules and regulations of the Philippine Canine Club, Inc.
The 2-day event will be a feast to the eyes and will surely melt our hearts. Audience admission is free so everyone is welcome to watch at The Manila Hotel Tent.

Get ready to learn more about pet grooming from Sean Carroll of Belliver, Denemore, & Toybox International Showdogs and Chaivat ‘Toby’ Tangkaravakun in the Trimming and Grooming Seminar at Manila Prince Hotel on August 14, 2023 at 2PM. Don’t miss the chance to learn from the all world renowned Pomeranian Specialists who have bred and handled top winners at the APC Nationals, Westminister, World Dog Show and Cruft.
