The Philippine Animal Welfare Association (PAWA) posted on Jun. 28 footage of someone shooting two Dogs in Brgy. Talacsan, San Rafael, Bulacan, on its Facebook page.

Shots fired

The three-minute video showed some Dogs crying and running away, seemingly from something that scared them.

A minute into the video, a man in red shorts can be seen walking towards the Dogs with a gun. He first crouched and shot one Dog, then stood up to shoot another Dog at a higher angle.

Public danger

PAWA said, “This is a clear violation of RA 8485, the Animal Welfare Act. Although the [human guardian] of the [D]og supposedly settled with the shooter (probably out of fear), we hereby urge the Philippine National Police and the fiscal to take immediate action to incarcerate the killer as soon as possible.”

They then urged netizens to share the video for awareness and contact the police and prosecutor in San Rafael if they have any information related to the matter.

They said in their caption that they received the video anonymously.
