Families, particularly their furry members, joined in the many fun activities offered by various booths at the event.
There were the lovable, adoptable rescued pit bulls at the Pup Play Pen of CARA Welfare Philippines and Save the Laguna Pit Bulls. Those looking to adopt smaller creatures played with the frisky kittens at the Kitty Play Pen of Cats of Manila. Even passersby joined in the festivities upon noticing the joyful atmosphere that characterized Waggin’ Tails 2015.
Dogs―and even some cats―enjoyed the Agility Play Area set up by Philippine Canine Sports Alliance. Exuberant dogs happily took dips in the pool set up under the pretty waterfall at the center of the venue. Pampered pets enjoyed the Pet Massage by Wishbone Pet Care And Wellness Center. The 643 pets who registered for the event enjoyed gift packs from the event’s major sponsor, Hill’s Science Diet.
Humans flocked to the photobooth and the “Spin a Wheel,” “Pet Pong,” and Sphero games by Hobbes and Landes, and got free advice on their furkids’ diets at Ask A Vet Philippines’ booth. The Petcentric Veterinary Clinic also gave free Feline Consultations, while the Fil-Chinese Group of Animal Clinics gave Canine Consultations.
Dog Coach Francis enlightened the crowd on how to solve dog behavior issues, while Hill’s Science Diet’s brand ambassador Matteo Guidicelli―the proud parent of several dogs and a rescued cat―delighted the audience with a surprise appearance.
The prizes for the family games and Pet Pass Raffle made everyone howl with delight―these included a one-year supply of Hill’s Science Diet, 2 Pet Party packages by event organizer ALL4PetsParty.com, a digital caricature by award-winning cartoonist Dane Romely by Third Culture Wife, and more from PetExpress, Doodles Paw Couture, Baby Moon for Pets, and Recovery Food.
Event supporters were the Philippine Pet Groups Philippine Golden Retrievers, PRO Dog-a-Holic, D.O.G. Philippines (Dog Owners Group Ph.), and Philippine Alaskan Malamute Club (PAMC).
