With the closing of Sofitel Hotel comes a new crisis: the need to find a new home for community Cats.

A post from X (formerly Twitter) showed concern about the fate of the Cats under the hotel’s care. Also known as the Whiskers Program, the sanctuary cares for community Cats around the hotel. Their rescues are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and potty trained.

It reads, “The ‘closure’ of Sofitel also means the closure of the Cat Sanctuary, the termination of employment for the people who work there, and who knows what’ll happen to the cats [who] won’t get adopted.”
In charge of the Cats is the sanctuary’s caretaker, Joel Dela Cruz. Sofitel hopes that all the remaining Cats would find loving homes by the end of the month.

If you are interested in adopting, you can contact them at 0939 248 3750 or througj the Whiskers Program Facebook page.
