The Philippine Pomeranian Club, in collaboration with Manila Bulletin and Animal Scene, is set to stage the 2nd edition of the highly successful Manila Dog Show at The Tent, Manila Hotel on August 10-11, 2024 through the competition of show dogs.
The 2-day event is organized to highlight the conformation and showmanship of our cherished canine companions with the All Breed Championship Dog Show and the Pomeranian Specialty Show. This show will unite dog enthusiasts and professional dog show participants, providing an opportunity to connect with fellow pet lovers, showcase their beloved dogs, and gain insights into dogmanship from international industry experts.
Four shows will be featured as part of the All Breed Championship Dog Shows, where dogs of all breeds can display their charm and elegance.
The Manila Dog Show will also host a dedicated segment for Pomeranian enthusiasts, with the Pomeranian Specialty Shows. This segment will include eight shows, allowing participants to showcase their Pomeranians’ natural sophistication and grace.
A special highlight of this year’s edition is the Battle of the Champions. This prestigious event is by invitation only, featuring the 8 Best in Pomeranian Specialty Show winners (Best in Specialty Show) and the 12 Best in All Breed Show winners (Best in Show 1, Best in Show 2, Best in Show 3). Prizes for the winners of this segment are: First prize is one Economy Ticket and Accommodation for 1 for the World Dog Show 2025. Second and Third prizes are 1 Economy Ticket to Manila for Manila Dog Show 2025 plus accommodation for 1 (If a Philippine owner wins, this will be for the Impact Show 2025 in Thailand; Thailand is not an option for foreigners.)
The Manila Dog Show 2024 is proud to have this year’s esteemed line-up of judges: Bessho Satoshi from Japan, Carlos Nicolas Fernandez Masciotta from Brazil, Edwina Thomas, Yvonne Meintjes and Brett Abraham from Australia, Geno Sisneros, David and Carlene Gilstrap from USA, and, Luiz Carlos Esperon from Brazil.
