Michael Cicconetti is a judge from Painesville, Ohio. Besides being known as a very creative judge in creating punishments for his offenders, he is also an animal lover.
“I realize people make mistakes and you want to help them out; that’s been my goal for all these years,” judge Cicconetti told Fox News.
So when judge Cicconetti met animal abusers, he did what he taught was best for these offenders.
He stated that animal abusers get little to no punishment when inflicting pain upon animals. Since then, he gave out sentences that rightfully fit their crimes.
One woman, who stood before him, left her dog to live in filth for a very long time, taking less or no care at all for her dog. Judge Cicconetti decided that she try spending a day in filth too.
“I want you to go down to the county dump, to the landfill, and I want them to find the stinkiest, smelliest, God-awful odor place they can find in that dump and I want you to sit there for eight hours tomorrow, to think about what you did to that dog while you smell the odor,” judge Cicconetti told the woman during the court hearing.
Meanwhile, another woman abandoned 35 kittens in the woods. Judge Cicconetti asked the woman to spend a night in the woods, but of course, officers were there with her for her safety and never for any ill-intent.
“How would you like to be dumped off at a metro park late at night, spend the night listening to the coyotes,” judge Cicconetti said. “Listening to the raccoons around you in the dark night, and sit out there in the cold not knowing where you’re going to get your next meal, not knowing when you are going to be rescued?”
According to Fox News, Cicconetti might just have one last creative sentence before he retires.
