In a suburban in Denver, four ducklings were trapped at the bottom of the drain on Thursday after the storm hit the city, while four others were scared and chose to hide in an adjacent pipe.

Firefighters from South Metro Fire Rescue easily rescued the four birds trapped in the drain, but it seemed to be quite a challenge to rescue the other four in the pipe.

Thanks to technology, one firefighter thought of playing a Youtube video of duck calls from his phone – from which the ducklings answered to immediately as they walked toward the sound and made it easier for the firefighters to scoop them up.

The fire district said the ducklings were reunited with their mother, who was nearby.
