Animal companions in Hong Kong can now get their own ID cards.
Various photos of Cats, Dogs, and even Hamsters in Hong Kong, with what appear to be identification cards displaying their personal details, are being shared on social media.
The IDs are not real, but people in Hong Kong are getting them custom-made for their furbabies. They can “register” their animal companions with a photo, name, birthday, and even emergency contact details.
The Hong Kong government encourages its residents to be responsible toward their animal companions by having them vaccinated and microchipped.
