An animal shelter in Southern California has achieved what any animal shelters around the world hopes to achieve: run out of adoptable pets.
The Riverside County Animal Services shared the good news on their Instagram account, showing all their empty cages in the shelter.
“We cleared the shelter!” posted the animal shelter. “Thank you to everyone who adopted or fostered an animal.”
There has been a spike in adoption in several parts of the world after governments have implemented lockdowns and community quarantines due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Although several animal shelters have reported a spike in adoption and cleared kennels, staff reminded everyone to hopefully learn to love the animals even after the quarantine is over as they fear some people might return the animals.
Animal shelters continue to encourage everyone to help and adopt animals, noting that they will help those who will with the transition.
