The Pasay city veterinarian office shut down rumors that many animals were allegedly neglected basic care and necessities in Cartimar pet shops amid the “enhanced community quarantine” mandated by the government.
The office inspected the Cartimar pet center and verified that no animals were left unattended. In a report by ABS-CBN, many pet shop owners also clarified that although their shops were closed, they still have caretakers to tend to all their animals’ needs.
Animal Kingdom Foundation, a non-profit and non-government organization aimed at helping and rescuing animals in need, received a call to action regarding the issue, so they coordinated with the veterinarian office.
