Cat lovers, listen up! There’s a new study claiming that you, feline owners, are actually more intelligent than those who have dogs as their animal companions.
Steve McKeown from The McKeown Clinic claimed that there is a study that shows cat owners are actually more sensible and intelligent than dog owners.
“A study of 600 college students that was conducted by Denise Guastello found that cat people tend to be non-conformist, somebody who stands up for what they believe in despite what anyone thinks which in many ways and perhaps mirrors the independence for which cats are renowned,” McKeown told the Unilad in an interview.
“Cat people also score higher on intelligence tests and more educated. Cat people are more likely to possess university degrees than dog owners. Educated people tend to work longer hours and opt for pets that compliments their personal circumstances and lifestyle,” he added.
Cats are known to be one of the most chosen pets in the world, because of their personalities and characteristics, according to Live Science, which is a science news website.
Cats have one of the largest eyes among other mammals and their vision is more than six times at night compared to humans. They also have very sensitive ears, which rotates about 180 degrees. How about their sense of smell? They could probably smell that delicious food kilometers away!
However, cats are also just like dogs. They are also great companions and helps in lowering their human’s stress levels and can help in coping with grief and loss.
