A cat tied to a delivery truck, where it was forced to run behind it in Quezon City, was rescued immediately after the video of it went viral last Friday.
Ian Dolar, the uploader of the video, said he was on his way home when he saw the cat tied under the truck along Farmer’s market. Dolar said he told the driver about the cat, but the man said “Ginaganyan talaga yan.”

Cats of Araneta believes the cat was rescued by concerned security guards at Farmer’s Market. The organization has picked up the cat Saturday morning and brought it to the veterinary clinic immediately for treatment.
Keepers decided to temporarily call him “Van,” who sustained “lacerations on his neck since he must have been tied tightly so that he would not come loose,” according to Cats of Araneta post. It added that the poor cat’s injuries show that he was tied at the neck and was forced to run behind the vehicle repeatedly.
“It must have been a sad, painful, cruel world for Van before. Now, Van is safe and requests for your prayers and healing graces,” the post read.
Maria Lucia Diaz, administrator of Cats of Araneta, told ABS-CBN News that they are still getting an official statement from the security office of Araneta on how the cat possibly end up tied at the back of the delivery truck.
