Some dogs just want to snuggle with you on bed. However, when you have at least eight rescued dogs who want to snuggle with you to sleep, it might not be as comfortable as you could imagine.

Married couple Chris and Marissa Hughes decided to build their dogs a separate gigantic bed, where all their dogs could sleep comfortably.

“At nighttime, all of the dogs want to sleep on the bed and sometimes it becomes too cluttered, and we end up being pushed off of the bed or sleeping on the couch,” Chris told TODAY. “So we built the megabed.”

Mike Ford, the furniture maker behind the megabed, claimed the bed was under 14-feet long, seven-feet wide and had a headboard that was six-feet tall.

“I had to make some modifications in the design and start over on the headboard because it was so large,” Ford told TODAY. “It wouldn’t fit through the door in my shop.”

Aside from being a megabed, it was also made up of two mattresses – a king up top and a full turned sideways below. For the senior dogs who can’t jump on their own, the bed also had stairs to help them.

The couple was not just animal lovers at heart, they are also the founders of Mr. Mo Project, a nonprofit that helps remove elderly and sick dogs from shelters, where they face being put down.
