An emu is currently on the loose in North Carolina and was last spotted jumping on the hood of a car before running away.

Local news outlets reported that officials say the Emu, whose name is Eno, was sighted over the weekend and Orange County Animal Services spokesperson Tenille Fox said they believe the animal is around the Hillsborough area.

Twitter account of the Orange County government posted a mugshot of the Emu on Friday with the caption: “Wanted.” They said the animal has been on the run for five weeks now and they do not know where the flightless bird escaped or came from.

Fox noted that owning emus is legal in Orange County and they are often kept on farms, but do not usually run away.

She added that if locals did found the emu, they should leave the job of catching it to animal services, because it can be dangerous.
