Sometimes, relationships do not work out. And in all those break-up stories we’ve heard, it were never easy for both sides.
A story on a family who dumped their dog at the shelter is currently making the rounds again on the internet, with netizens calling out pet owners to become responsible humans for their animal companions.
Mesa’s Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) West Adoptable Dogs, a shelter for stray animals, unexpectedly heard from a family who wishes to leave their dog, Wall-E, at the shelter, because they no longer have time for him.
Wall-E, not knowing what was happening, looked devastated as his family left him at the shelter along with his toys and bed.
Luckily, Wall-E was adopted immediately by a Good Samaritan who saw the shelter’s post. Lynn Lee found Wall-E’s story devastating and thought she could take him home with her and be his new fur-mily.
MCACC said animals are being dumped at the shelter for all the same reasons and it probably happens on a daily basis along with other animal shelters. They hope this story would encourage others to be more responsible and surely provide a loving home for these animals.
