The 1st Pet Project was recently held at Circuit Makati, in which pets of all shapes and sizes were exhibited.

Aimed at promoting responsible pet ownership, and educating the public about how pets, regardless of size, age, species, breed, or pedigree, can do wonderful and extraordinary things if their owners believe and invest time in them, the event showed that animals are also best friends.
Participants included Keepers of Extreme Exotics Philippines, Philippine English Bulldog Club, Doodles Paw Couture, Philippine Pitbull Club, Better Dogs, Philippine Parrots Free Flight, and Philippine Dog Athletics Association. The show’s proceeds were donated to children battling cancer.
Philippines Parrots Free Flight held an early demonstration of parrots in the air. The 64th Mondioring Trials also took place, with Level 2 held at the Sucat E.R. K9 field, while Level 1 was held at Circuit Makati and saw 20 dogs competing for the top prize. A dog agility and disc dog competition sanctioned by the Philippine Dog Athletics Association (PDAA) and officiated by US Dog Agility Association (USDAA) judge Ryan Ong Cabahug—also the current president of the PDAA—was held at the Globe Circuit in Makati, with thirty human and dog teams competing in various classes.
The Chow Chow Club of The Philippines (CCCPI) also held its 5th Conformity Fun Match, judged by its vice president Christopher Villareal and following the format of an actual Conformity Championship Show to give Chow owners a taste of what it was like to exhibit their dogs in the show ring. The Philippine Pitbull Club and the Philippine Bully Kennel Club also held conformation shows, while the Philippine English Bulldog Club organized a grand eyeball and breed seminar. On the last day of the Pet Project, the CCCPI visited the show’s beneficiary children at Philippine Children’s Medical Center.
