Dogs are very sociable animals, so it’s nothing new to see them demonstrate their affection towards others. But for this one adorable dog, she can’t seem to stop hugging every single person she meets on her walks!
Louboutina, or Loubie for short, is a beautiful Golden Retriever who loves going on walks around New York City with her human companion Cesar Fernandez-Chavez. Whenever they go for walks, Loubie apparently stops in the middle to greet strangers and offer them a hug using her forelegs and wrapping it on the strangers’ legs and around their knees.
“It’s just not a regular walk,” Fernandez-Chavez told The Dodo in an interview. “It’s a walk with hugging. So we don’t get to go too far.”
Aside from hugging people around their knees, Loubie apparently loves to offer her paws, too, in an effort to “hold hands.” Fernandez-Chavez said Loubie learned to do that back on Valentine’s Day 2014 when her hooman got out of a long-term relationship.
“She started sitting up and grabbing my hands with both of her paws, and then crossing the other paw over her paw. I remember joking with my friends, ‘At least I have someone to hold hands with during Valentine’s,'” Fernandez-Chavez added.
Although it looks like Loubie loves to hug everyone, Fernandez-Chavez said she can be picky sometimes and will only hug those she has a connection with.
She has now found fame on social media and Fernandez-Chavez said some people would run up to them when they’re on their walks, and immediately asks for a hug with Loubie.
