A viral TikTok video posted by user Pam showed a cafe worker opening their doors to two Aspins trying to look for a cool place to stay. The caption in the video says, “[T]hey just want a comfortable place to stay during the extreme heat of the day.”
Since then, the Black Street Cafe in Malolos, Bulacan has become a temporary home for the Dogs, named Chucoy and Sisig.
Chucoy and Sisig’s story
According to a Facebook post made by the cafe, Chucoy used to have a human companion. Her human resigned from his job and has been unable to take care of her. She was left in the care of a nearby flower shop.
After 5PM whenever the flower shop closes, Chucoy would wander the streets looking for food. The cafe decided to take her in after hours to feed her and keep her company.
Her visits became more frequent when she got pregnant.
After giving birth, they did not see Chucoy for a while, until one of her sons, Sisig, suffered a dislocated joint and needed help from the cafe.
Now, Chucoy and Sisig visit the cafe for “boops and pets and of course, the aircon.”
What’s next for Sisig and Chucoy
