For many people, it not strange to see an animal companion donning clothes or costumes, especially among the dog and cat owners. But did you know there is also a community of snake owners that love to dress up their companions with adorable hats.
The Snake With Hats is a community spread across several social media platforms, including Facebook and Reddit as they celebrate snakehood through sharing the cutest photos of their snakes wearing top hats, caps, bonnets, beanies, cowboy hats, fedoras, wizard hats, and everything in between.

“The community was started around 2011-2012, and it all began with my snake Lola, who was very docile, wearing some hats. Soon, more and more people started to post pictures as well, and the page quickly grew large,”Liesbeth Dulcimer, the moderator of Snakes With Hats subreddit and administrator of Facebook group, told Bored Panda in an interview.
“The Snakes with Hats community is now a safe space for both beginners, experienced keepers and reptile lovers in general. We’re currently working hard on a discord server that will launch soon,” she said.
