Eris is a Borzoi wolfhound who gained social media popularity because of her very unique trait, an extremely long 12.2-inch snout. Her owners even claimed she may have the world’s record holder for the longest nose.

Couple Lily and Savannah adopted Eris and brought her home in July 2018. Eris was just a pup back then and no one knew her nose would grow that long. She just celebrated her second birthday recently and her 191,000 followers on Instagram celebrated with her.

“We were always hoping to share some of the happiness and smiles Eris brings into our house, and in these last few months, it’s felt more impactful than ever. We’re so glad to be able to add a little tiny moment of light to all of the goodness shining through the world,” the owners shared with Bored Panda in an interview.

The Borzoi breed are laid-back family dogs, who despite their large size, are very sweet and a very sensitive breed that needs companionship. It originated in 17th-century Russia and are known as Russian wolfhounds or walking clouds. “Borzoi” means fast, thus means they are also an independent and athletic breed.
