The year 2022 marks the comeback of in-person conventions. For the first time since the pandemic, Pet Summit Philippines launched the Pet Trade Show at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Parañaque City.

The activity area in Ayala Malls Manila Bay was teeming with people and their animal companions.

ANIMAL COMPANION SHOWCASE

Over 20,000 animal lovers gathered in Pet Summit’s biggest trade show. With the theme Responsible Pet Ownership, guests include Philippine Pet Birth Control Center Foundation and Animal Kingdom Foundation, both of which promote adoption from shelters and help raise awareness about proper care for companion animals.

Highlights include adoption drives from invited animal welfare agencies, meeting exotic animals, live K9 search-and-rescue demonstrations, Dog obedience training, informative talks, and exciting stage games by trade show exhibitors.

Aside from the talks, guests can go shopping for their fur babies, as there were more than 200 products for animal companions.

This year’s trade show was formally opened by Parañaque City’s government officials with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by then-Mayor and now Congressman-Elect Edwin Olivarez and his wife Mrs. Janet Olivarez; former Congressman and Mayor-Elect Eric Olivarez; Health & Sanitation Councilor Vandolf Quizon; Brgy. Tambo Chairman Jenn Quizon; Parañaque City Veterinarian Dr. Karen Camille Vicencio; BAI Veterinarian III Head Dr. Sheng Ordinario; Ayala Malls Manila Bay (AMBB) General Manager France S. Eusebio; AMMB Marketing Manager Jaevyn Lazaro and Marketing Officer Ms. Stephanie Escaño; the founders of Pet Summit Philippines, Mae Domingo and Karla Kangleon.
