Many events and sporting leagues were cancelled as residents were asked to practice social distancing under lockdown and community quarantine to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus.

In the US, University of Michigan coaches and athletes were preparing for the tournament when they found out that the winter sports NCAA championships had been cancelled.

Now, coaches and athletes are staying at home after the university closed campus, and they have been coping with it in different ways. Some, spent more time with there pets, which they say had been a positive way to pass time amid the health crisis.
