A 10 to 11-month old eaglet and its parent were discovered in the highlands of Bukidnon, stated the Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF) yesterday.

In a Facebook post, PEF said they took a two-week expedition to confirm whether the reports of the eaglet sighting were true.

The recent sighting of the eaglet is great news to the community, considering that the Philippine Eagle has been listed critically endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) for several years now.

PEF said they also look forward into working with the Talaandig community of Bukidnon in keeping the animals safe.
