Pets and their owners joined Run Fur Fun 2015.

Over 300 canines and their human parents joined the first edition of a series of doggie fun runs being rolled out across southern Luzon by SM Malls. Billed as the “Doggie 3K Dash – Run Fur Fun,” the activity’s human and dog teams ran a distance of 3 kilometers along the Biñan-Sta.Rosa Access Road late in the afternoon.

The fun run, which had the support of the Philippine Alaskan Malamute Association, Inc. (PAMA), offered prizes of mall shopping money worth PhP 15,000, PhP 10,000, and PhP 5,000 in addition to five special prizes: Fastest Off Leashed Dog Runner; Smallest Adult Dog Runner; Largest Adult Dog Runner; Biggest Family Group Runners; and First Runner Registrant.

An activity area with food and beverages, a bazaar for pet products, stage activities, informative talks, an hourly raffle, and Zumba warm-up exercise kept even non-participants in high spirits. A special mini-concert by the XOP Band capped off the activities. The second edition is set for October at SM City Dasmarinas.
