There has been several reports of animal deaths due to plastic consumption, however, a new animal has been found dead not just because of digesting plastic, but other human wastes as well.

Last April 6, photos of a dead stingray have been circulating the internet once again. Volunteers from 5 Minutes Beach Clean Up reportedly saw the stingray floating through the waters. When they opened up the poor animal to know what might have caused its untimely death, they were shocked.

The group posted on their Instagram account that the stingray must have died after swallowing a pack of cigarettes, a book, an empty bottle, and a digital camera, which it might have mistaken as food down under.

“We really didn’t wanna share this but at the end we decided that it’s good for all of us to see what a marine animal can ingest in this vast blue ocean,” said the group.

This is a reminder for humans to properly dispose wastes, as it all affects the poor animals and causes multiple deaths.
