Authorities and animal lovers are outraged after a stray dog has been found painted orange and black to resemble a tiger in Malaysia.
Persatuan Haiwan Malaysia or the Malaysian Animal Association, an animal rights group, has shared the images of the dog on Facebook. They are appealing on anyone with information to know who was responsible for painting the dog.
Dyeing animals’ fur has been widely opposed by many as the pain used can be toxic and harmful for the dog.
“Help Animal Malaysia identify the location and who this animal belongs to,” the animal rights group wrote on their post, noting that they are willing to give a reward for anyone with useful information.
Photos of the dog have gone viral on social media. Though many animal lovers were outraged by it, there were some people who were amused to see a “mini-tiger.”
