The American Kennel Club conducted a survey before which showed that 45% of people with dogs allow their pets to snuggle with them in bed. And science proves just how much letting pets into your beds do some good to your health!

According to science, dogs help in reducing anxiety and stress. Imagine having a really tough day, your canine companions could definitely make you feel more ease and relaxed at night.

The Mayo Clinic also conducted a study entitled “The Effect of Dogs on Human Sleep in the Home Sleep Environment” and found that having dogs caused no negative consequences if they do sleep with their owners in bed.

The Journal of Behavioral Medicine’s study measured the blood pressure of 60 male and female participants while they are petting a dog. It showed that people’s blood pressure was lowest while petting a dog. When it’s time to sleep, petting your pets help your biological functions calm down.

It has also been proven how much dogs provide you warmth and security.

Sharing a bed with your lovely pooch only deepens the bond between you and your animal companion.
