Time out! At a zoo in England, five African Gray Parrots were quarantined after zookeepers learned that they swear at visitors.
The five Birds, named Billy, Tyson, Eric, Jade, and Elsie, were adopted by the Lincolnshire Wildlife Park during the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the BBC, the Parrots swear to elicit a reaction from the visitors. What’s more, the other Birds encourage each other to swear whenever a visitor reacts.
The five Birds have been moved to different parts of the park to nip their bad behavior in the bud.
More Parrots, more swearing
In an additional report by the BBC, three more Parrots picked up the foul language from the original five.
They were moved to a different enclosure with up to 100 other Parrots. Zookeepers hope that the noise would drown out the swears.
Worst-case scenario? A hundred other Birds might pick up the nasty habit — only time will tell.
