We now know the gender of Pesto, the Penguin chick who has TikTok in a chokehold!

To determine Pesto’s gender, the staff at SEA LIFE Aquarium in Melbourne, Australia sent tiny blood samples to a laboratory. After two weeks of waiting, they found out that Pesto is a boy. The staff then threw an icy gender-reveal party, where they cut a cake with blue icing in it.
He’s a chonky chick
According to SEA LIFE Melbourne’s website, Pesto was born in January and is being taken care of by his parents, Hudson and Tango. At just nine months old, he weighs a whopping 21 kilograms and is deemed the largest chick in the aquarium.
To accommodate his large size, he has to eat 25 Fishes a day. His impressive size at a young age is due to his biological father, Blake, who is the biggest and oldest Penguin in the aquarium.
