According to a new study at Queen Mary, University of London, goats appear to know and understand human expression. Surprisingly, they prefer the positive ones! The study shows that goats are drawn closer to those who smiles at them and looks happy.
The study was recently published in the journal Royal Society Open Science. It was to prove whether animals domesticated for production, such as goats, are sensitive to human emotional expressions, such as domesticated pets, like dogs and cats.
In 2017, a research project conducted by the University of Helsinki first found that dogs could already identify facial expressions and are also attracted to smiling faces, particularly that of their owners.
