If you’ve ever been to Bruges, Belgium and walked pass the Cote Canal Bed and Breakfast, chances are you might have actually seen a puppy named Fidel who had become quite a celebrity in the city for both locals and tourists.

Recently, Twitter user Amy posted the photo of the yellow Labrador resting on a pillow overlooking the canal and others can’t stop but to share their own experiences seeing the cute pup.

Fidel could always be seen and photographed on the window ledge, his head resting on a pillow between his paws and quietly watched the tourists drift along. However, the adorable 12-year-old pooch had died in 2016.

Caroline Van Langeraert, Fidel’s human companion, had the hardest decision to euthanize Fidel after he became seriously ill. “He died as we know him, with his head between his paws,” she told Dutch news site Het Nieuwsblad.
