The canine officers have recently trained pups to become “comfort dogs”to help people with anxiety, stress, post-traumatic stress, and other mental health disorders. What these new K-9s job is very important.
In many cases, comfort canines visit schools, nursing homes, hospitals, veteran centers, and other places where residents can experience pet therapy thanks to the initiatives of the authorities.
In Bristol, Rhode Island, the police force was conducting a swearing in ceremony for their new recruit, Brody, when the little pupperino suddenly fell asleep.
“We’re very excited for Brody to meet the people in our community and we’re very excited for him to meet the students in the Bristol-Warren Regional School District,” said Keith Medeiros, the School Patrol Officer.
Brody’s swearing in ceremony was broadcast live on Facebook, and the netizens were so in love with him as he comfortably fell asleep.
“I knew we had a winning formula for the town. This is a very good example of making a difference. He’s going to be a superstar for the town of Bristol. You can guarantee it,” said police chief Kevin Lynch.
