Dogs are very social, and they just love being part of the pack. For this pit bull, he was a quick learner and adapted well on his new home.

Bethany and Samantha Castiller has been cat lovers, so they have many felines in their household. One day, they decided to adopted a dog and so, they welcomed two-year-old Mako, a pit bull, from the shelter.

“We initially kept the cats in a separate part of the house, because we wanted to slowly introduce them to the new dog,” Bethany told Bored Panda in an interview. “He started jumping up on the small tables we had around the house and we thought he was just super excited and full of energy.”

But Bethany and Samantha probably had no problem to worry about, because Mako is very much in love with his new family!

“When we went to the pet shelter, Mako had looked over his shoulder and gave us direct eye contact and we just fell in love with the little guy,” Bethany said. “At the time, he looked like a bobblehead because his head was so much larger than his body, we just thought he was adorable.”

The new dog owner realized later on that Mako was not just being very excited around the house, rather, he’s also acting like a cat! “They would be on the counters and he would jump up there with them. He just wanted to be around them all the time.”
