Everything you need to know about Doge and Shiba Inus proliferating on the internet and social media sites.
Doge (most commonly pronounced ‘DOHZH’ or ‘DOHG’) is a popular internet meme that consists of a picture of a Shiba Inu (often referred to as a ‘Shibe’) accompanied by multicolored text that represents a sort of inner monologue in deliberately broken English. This became popular in 2013, and even spawned a cryptocurrency named after it, the Dogecoin.
Interested in making your own Doge memes? Pair your Shibe picture with two-word phrases written in colorful Comic Sans, and start these phrases with one of five words: So, Such, Many, Much, and Very. Keep in mind that you need to use them to modify words that they cannot normally modify properly in correct English.
For example: “Very Fluffy, Such Poise” is incorrect, because the modifiers are used properly, and is written is proper English. In contrast, “Such Fluffy, Very Poise” is textbook Doge-speak. Finally, remember to end your meme with “Wow,” “Excite,” or “Amaze.”
