Now on its fourth year, Pet Express Dog & Cat Expo recently concluded at the SMX Convention Center at SM Mall of Asia. It aims to give the canine and feline community a venue to discover new favorite products and meet people who share their same passion forpets and anything pet-related.Organizations for both creatures participated with the aim of showcasing their particular breed to the general public.
Cat and dog owners, with and without their pets, enjoyed a wide variety of activities and large discounts plus special promotions on pet care products. Pet owners saw the latest products for pets, such as eco-friendly pet accessories, volcanic ash-activated dog treats, and high-end designer cat condominiums.
There was a pet blessing, various pet wellness seminars, cat cafes, adoption booths for both felines and canines, a bomb sniffing dog demo, dog food eating contests, and the latest furry fitness craze, doga (dog yoga). Seminar topics included dental care, clarifications of myths about pet nutrition, the need to adopt and rescue cats and dogs, and focus training.
The event was also a fundraiser for the animal welfare group CARA (Compassion and Responsibility for Animals), via a raffle, in which the top prize was an overnight stay at the pet-friendly, luxury beach resort Acuaverde in Laiya, Batangas.
