Last Tuesday, a family just came back to their South Carolina home, only to find their five-month old puppy was shot in the head with an arrow on their back porch.
Loca was quickly rushed to Paws and Claws Animal Clinic in Columbia that same night and survived the incident.
“We were shocked when we saw her x-rays and saw that the arrow somehow miraculously missed her brain, her esophagus and BARELY missed her spine! She is the luckiest unlucky girl in the world,” posted Paws and Claws Animal Clinic on their Facebook page.
According to the clinic’s updates, Loca immediately underwent surgery and is currently doing great.
“She is stable and continues to amaze us with how she has handled this whole situation,” continued the post.
Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the case and the clinic asked anyone with information to come forward.
