Over a week, a Labrador has been seen lying outside a hospital in Argentina.
The six-year old dog, whose name is Toto, stayed outside Pablo Soria Hospital in San Salvador de Jujuy, Argentina.
Local media reported that Toto lived with his owner, who was brought to the hospital and asked for his dog to be brought there so he could say his goodbye.
However, the man’s relatives forgot to take Toto with them back home, which is why the dog was left and stayed at the doorway to the hospital and waited patiently for his hooman.
Fatima Rodriguez, a member of a local animal protection group, said they are currently looking for a new owner for the loyal Labrador and claimed “the person who adopts him should have a closed house,” because Toto might just escape and go back to the hospital for his owner.
Toto has already been treated by a veterinarian and may undergo surgery on one of his paws. A neighbor of his deceased human is currently looking after him.
“He seems to believe his owner is going to come out someday to take him home,” the neighbor said.
