A kitten has survived after being trapped in a shipping container, where two other kittens had died.
The Kansas City Pet Project said in a Facebook post Thursday that an employee of the shipping company found the starving and dehydrating kitten and brought it to the city animal shelter on a late Wednesday afternoon.
The worker said the container in which the cat and other kittens were found could have gone one to two weeks without being opened, but luckily, the one kitten survived.
Animal rescue workers named the gray tabby “Cargo.”
The veterinary technician shared that Cargo was given fluids to keep him hydrated and he has also started to eat. The workers believe “this little survivor will pull through!”
