A photo of a little boy from Sairang Mizoram in India had been circulating on the internet, where he looked sad and guilty at the same time for accidentally running over his neighbor’s chicken. According to Sanga Says, the man who uploaded the boy’s photo on Facebook, said the boy ran to a nearby hospital with all the money he had and asked for help.
“According to the father, the boy came home with the neighbor’s chick that he had accidentally killed,” Sanga Says has told NDTV. “He did not understand that the chick is dead and begged his parents to take it to the hospital. His father told him to go himself, which he did with ten rupees.”
Netizens were blown away by the boy’s kind heart and poured him with support and admiration.
This boy, Derek C. Lalchhanhima, has now become an inspiration not just for kids like him, but also for parents to do their part in teaching their children good values that will help them grow up as good persons.
Besides that, the six-year old boy has also been awarded by his school, St. Pio, Thursday, for his good deed!
